Abstract
Winterizing is the process of removing stearines from vegetable oils. The procedures have been developed over the past 75 years and vary according to the type of oil treated or the kind of process used such as batch, continuous systems, or whether in the miscella stage. Dewaxing is also considered a form of winterizing. Keywords
