Abstract
THE various surgical technics now available for the management of dissecting aneurysm of the aorta have recently been summarized.1 Alertness and an aggressive approach in diagnosis and treatment will be rewarded with an increasingly favorable prognosis in the patients who do not succumb abruptly in the initial phase of the disease. Pregnancy is one of the conditions with which aortic medial necrosis and dissecting aneurysm are associated.
