Abstract
Two-body decays of charm mesons are analyzed in the quark-diagram scheme. Effects of SU(3) breaking and final-state interactions are included in the formulation. Various theoretical models are reviewed and tested. In this scheme, the experimental observation of →K¯ gives a clear signal of the W-exchange diagram. The difference in the lifetimes of , , and is studied in terms of two-body decays.
