Abstract
A new method to compress ion beam pulse is proposed, where ion beam of 1013 W/cm2 at 100 ns is converted into a focusable X-ray of 1014 W/cm2 at ∼10 ns. The method could be used for an energy focusing into a small volume and used in LIB (Light Ion Beam), HIB (Heavy Ion Beam) and even in KrF laser. Keywords
