'Benign' Giant-Cell Tumor of Bone with a Solitary Pulmonary Metastasis

Abstract
A case of giant-cell tumor of the distal end of the radius with benign microscopic appearance is presented in which a solitary pulmonary metastasis occurred three years after initial treatment. The metastasis retained the original loss-grade microscopic characteristics and responded well to surgical resection. This case is additional evidence that microscopically benign-appearing giant-cell tumors of bone may occasionally metastasize.
