Abstract
N. gonorrhoeae can be induced to form a large capsule that can be visualized with India ink. Encapsulated gonococci appeared to be resistant to non-antibody-mediated phagocytosis [by human peripheral blood leukocytes] compared with unencapsulated gonococci of the same strain and colony type.This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
