The Antibody Response of Rabbits to a Single Injection of Type I Pneumococci

Abstract
Summary: The sera of rabbits subjected to a single antigenic stimulus with Type I pneumococci were analyzed for antibodies to the commonly recognized pneumococcal antigens. The data are tabulated and are found comparable to similar analyses of sera of human patients recovered from pneumococcal infections and of human subjects injected with small quantities of pneumococci or type-specific pneumococcal polysaccharides.
