Abstract
The impregnation of underwear with DDT as a means of control of lice affecting man is reported. Garments impregnated with DDT controlled lice after laundering. Two-piece suits of 50% wool underwear with a dosage of 10 gms. of DDT remained effective against body lice after 5 washings; suits with 20 gms. of DDT were effective after 9 or 10 washings. Practical methods for impregnation of underwear with DDT are discussed. A portable outfit was developed for use in the field. The large-scale treatment of underwear in standard laundry equipment is described. Keywords
