Abstract
This work represents the 1st extensive collection of the Trypetheliaceae in the United States and is 1 of the few investigations of the group in which field studies have been made. Five spp., Trypethelium mastoideum, T. tropicum, T. virens, Melanotheca aggregate,, and M. cruenta, are now known to be relatively common in Mississippi A 6th sp., T. scorites, which has previously been reported from this state, is considered a doubtful sp. Data are presented on the morphology, geographical distribution within the state, and substrate range of the spp. treated.This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
