Abstract
The admn. of large amts. of testosterone propionate to a patient with severe thyrotoxicosis associated with severe diabetes mellitus on a chemically constant dietary intake and constant insulin resulted in a fall of blood sugar and ketones, and in a fall, of marked degree, of urinary sugar, ketones, and nitrogen. These findings, in conjunction with changes in R.Q., suggest that under these exptl. conditions, testosterone propionate produced a marked effect upon fatty acid or ketone metabolism. Keywords
