Abstract
The subfamily Cheyletiellinae Volgin is raised to familial rank with eight genera. Included are illustrations and keys for each genus. The following new species are described and figures are presented for each: Ncochcyletiella callawayae, Ornithocheyletia hallae, O. lawrenceae, O. gersoni, O. volgini, O. hiskoschusi, Cheyletiella blakci, C. furmani, and C. strandtmanni. Illustrated but not described is a species of Cheyletiella taken from silver fox. Cheyletiella parasitivorax (Mégnin) and Bakericheyla chanayi (Berlese & Trouessart) arc redescribed and illustrated.Keywords
