A vortex vacuum evaporator for samples in test tubes

Abstract
A vortex vacuum evaporator is described for the rapid and inexpensive evaporation of small liquid volumes from samples in test tubes. The evaporator, compared to other practical alternatives, appears only limited by its high labour requirement and thus would prove useful where limited numbers of samples are involved, or where labour input is not a factor.
