Abstract
To verify the hypothesis of the origin of epidermoid cyst by cutaneous inclusions, 3 groups of dogs were investigated. In the first group a dermo-epidermal fragment was introduced by lumbar puncture, and in the 3rd group the introduction of the fragment was preceded by the inoculation of a suspension of tubercle bacillus. The animals were sacrificed between 6 and 12 months later. Histopathological examination has demonstrated that true epidermoid cysts are formed, which supports the hypothesis of cutaneous inclusions in the genesis of intramedullary epidermoid cysts as seen in the clinic. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
