Abstract
Green laser light at 532 nm was utilized in an attempt to thrombose and blanch superficial varicosities of the lower extremity in 14 patients. Selective vascular damage with sparing of overlying skin was the theoretical rationale for use of green light. Seven of the 14 patients achieved satisfactory results (total or near‐total obliteration of vessels without scarring) after a 6‐month period of observation. Keywords
