The Trematode Family Microphallidae with the Description of Carneophallus trilobatus gen. et sp. nov., from Mexico

Abstract
CARNEOPHALLUS trilobatus is descr. from a Mexican insect hawk, Buteo manirostris grsecocauda at Palenque, Chiapas. The male papilla is lobed. Spelotrema pseudogonotyla is transferred to Carneophallus and Maritrematidae is rejected as a valid family. Instead, genera possessing, as well as those lacking, a cirrus sac are retained in the Microphallidae which is discussed and redefined.
