Abstract
The .beta.-toxin of G. perfringens (Type C) was introduced via the lumen to the jejunum and ileum segments of rabbits, then examined by a pharmacologic method (in vitro). The .beta.-toxin paralyzed the motor activity of the intestine. This may relate to toxin dysentery in piglets.
