Abstract
A probable explanation of the hyperlipemia observed in human nephrosis, in the regulatory influence of the kidney tubules on the blood lipids, is based on expts. with nephrec-tomized dogs and dogs injected subcut. with bichloride of mercury, uranium nitrate or potassium bichromate. Ne-phrectomies were followed by increase in blood lipids for 4-7 days, then a return to normal. Small doses of the chemicals produced similar results. In the case of hyperlipemia there is no decrease in content of serum protein. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
