Abstract
The author gives a summary of the world literature of electroacupuncture for the induction of labor and obstetrical delivery. For the induction of labor he reports twelve term patients with complete success and five preterm patients with success in three and failure in two. The author reports five deliveries with manually stimulated needles all considered partial or total failures, and fifteen deliveries with electroacupuncture, all operative deliveries with episiotomy. Six cases were completely successful, this means no medication in labor and no local or regional block for forceps or episiotomy. Three cases were partial and six cases total failures. Keywords
