Abstract
The description of the performance of a double thin magnetic lens beta‐ray spectrometer is given. A detailed investigation of the separate distortions introduced by chamber misalignment, internal scattering, charged source and poor resolution has been made, and the results are presented qualitatively. An alignment procedure is presented, and also the arrangement of baffles to minimize scattering. Keywords
