Patient with Fever and Diarrhea

Abstract
A 46-year-old man with an uneventful medical history was admitted to a Dutch hospital with fever. He had made a visit to the cardiologist because of chest pain 6 months before admission to the hospital. On physical examination, no abnormalities were found, except for a clinically nonsignificant systolic cardiac murmur. The patient had been on a 10-day luxury holiday in Turkey 10 weeks before admission. He lived in a rural area in The Netherlands, and his neighbour kept sheep.
