Abstract
Nearly 300 expts. on 10 normal dogs and 25 expts. on 10 normal oo confirmed the favoring effect of hexyl-, heptyl-, and octyl-resorcinols in alkaline buffered solns. on the absorption of insulin from the alimentary tract. Absorption of insulin from the stomach and all regions of the intestine was proved by acute expts. The effect of insulin placed in the alimentary tract was found to be limited and variable. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
