Ionization potentials, electron affinities and screening constants. Part 7.—Comparison with Hartree-Fock calculations

Abstract
This paper continues, by considering recent Hartree-Fock calculations, the discussion of the present theory of screening-constants Σ. The assumption of a slight variation of Σ with inverse powers of atomic number brings together the facts and the various theories. Good agreement is thus obtained between the present theory and perturbation-calculations, both then showing small systematic differences from the Hartree-Fock results.
