Abstract
A questionnaire was sent to 12 large in-vitro fertilization (IVF) clinics in Nordic countries, asking about the number of clinical complications in connection with IVF treatment. The total number of cycles included was 10 125, with 7331 embryo transfers performed. Clinical complications were rare, although hyperstimulation syndrome was reported in 0.7% of the cycles started and follicle puncture complications in 0.5% of cycles. Post-operative infections were reported in 0.3% of embryo transfers. Keywords
