Abstract
A "water test meal" with phenol red solution was given to 18 diabetics, repeatedly in some instances. There was no relation between levels of glycemia and acid secretion. Gastric emptying tended to be slower in diabetics than in normal or peptic ulcer patients, but was not related to hyper-glycemia. Implications of decreased gastric secretion of K are noted. This publication has 14 references indexed in Scilit:
