Abstract
The design, construction, and tests of a miniature thermoelectric temperature-compensated flow probe for monitoring regional changes in cerebral blood flow such as those said to underlie regional changes in cerebral O2 previously observed in O2 convulsions are described. The reliability of the instrument is demonstrated in in vitro tests. Continuous recordings made of regional blood flow changes in the thalamus induced by anesthesia (Na pento-barbital) and by the administration of CO2 to the unrestrained, unan-esthetized and anesthetized rat are presented and pertinent details described. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
