Abstract
Examined the fears of health-impaired children using the Fear Survey Schedule for Children-Revised (FSSC-R). Relative to a control group of children, health-impaired children reported a significantly greater number, of fears. Consistent with previous research findings, there was a significant age-related decline in fears. Girls reported more fears than boys. Also observed were significant interactions between age and health status for two FSSC-R factors. Keywords
