Abstract
The enzymatic Baeyer–Villiger oxidation of a series of bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-en-7-ones utilizing the enzyme cyclohexanone oxygenase (E.C. 1.14.13.-), isolated from the bacteria Acinetobacter NCIB 9871 provides lactone products with high enantiomeric excesses. Keywords
