The preparation of solutions for research in chemoreception and food acceptance.

Abstract
Uniformity and precision are needed in the prepn. and specification of solns. No single method appears to suit the needs of all workers in chemoreception and food acceptance. A table is included which compares the following concn. nomenclatures: percentage by wt., percentage as wt. in 100 cc. solvent, percentage asa wt. volume ratio and molar concn. The following nomenclatures are recommended: a. Molar specification for precise work on chemoreception, b. percentage by wt. in food acceptance where fluid intake is measured in grams, c. percentage by wt. volume ratio when fluid intake is measured in volume.
