Abstract
The radiation fields of the Archimedes spiral are derived by approximating the spiral with a series of semicircles. The calculated patterns are shown to have excellent correlation with experimentally determined patterns. It is shown that the high-frequency limit is determined by the feed configuration and that the low-frequency limit occurs when the outside diameter is a little greater than a half wavelength. Keywords
