Preparation and Amino Acid Composition of Salmin and Clupein

Abstract
A new method for the prepn. of salmin and clupein from milt is descr. Salmin (N=31.52%) and clupein (N=31.68%) yield respectively the following percentages of amino acids on hydrolysis arginine 88, 87; proline 8, 8; serine 7.0, 3.4; valine 4.1, 3.6; alanine 1.5, 4.7; isoleucine 1, 1; leucine 0, 0; glycine 3, 0; threonine 0, 1.9.
