Abstract
Phenomenological equations of motion for the macroscopic magnetization of an interacting itinerant-spin-localized-spin system are considered. The proposed equations contain relaxation terms which are related to the instantaneous external and exchange fields. A resonance condition is obtained, and it agrees with that of quantum mechanical (RPA) calculations. The requirement of positive energy absorption is correctly satisfied and the exchange part of the relaxation terms has no effect on the resonance line shape. Brief considerations on the origin of the spin-diffusion term are also presented. Keywords
