Abstract
We develop a class of inequalities involving the real parts of the forward scattering amplitude at arbitrary energies and certain finite integrals over total cross sections. These should prove useful in the resolution of phase shift ambiguities in the analyses of scattering data and are sufficiently flexible to be applied even in situations where, for instance, the magnitude of the residue at a pole is not known. Keywords
