Abstract
Investigation of the distribution of fluoride in carious lesions of dentin, expressed as unit volume of tissue, indicates that arrested lesions are characterized by a fluoride-rich surface zone. This finding is an important intrinsic factor in the stability of arrested lesions.Keywords
