Acute Renal Failure Following Renal Vein Thrombosis in Conjoined Twins

Abstract
A pair of female xiphomonomphalus conjoined twins developed acute renal failure as a result of renal vein thrombosis at the age of 21 days. They were successfully managed by exchange transfusions at a stage when careful monitoring and restoration of pH, electrolyte, and fluid homeostasis seemed inadequate to sustain life.
