Improved low-frequency current amplifiers

Abstract

It is shown that a recently reported current-amplification scheme can be inaccurate at low gains (≈10). A simple modification extends the operating gain range to unity gain. Inverting gain is also achieved. An alternate configuration that avoids the use of pnp devices is proposed.
