Abstract
Mice (127) were inoculated with regenerated lyophilized ascitic-fluid broth culture of the gonococcus; given 10 mg. of 2% sulfanilamide intraperit, at once and 20 mg. 5 hrs. later; all but 4 of 94 were protected, though they became ataxic or spastic, cyanotic, and markedly opisthotonic; recovery usually occurred in 48 hrs.
