Active principles of Tetradenia riparia III. Anti‐Trichomonas activity of 8(14), 15‐sandaracopimaradiene‐7α, 18‐diol

Abstract
Tetradenia riparia is one of the most popular medicinal plants in Rwanda. Previously, several substances have been isolated from the leaves, including the diterpenediol 8(14),15‐sandaracopimaradiene‐7α,18‐diol. This diterpenediol exhibits anti‐trichomonas activity. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of the substance for Trichomonas vaginalis is between 20–40 μg/mL.
