Abstract
This paper considers the electrical activity of the brain and shows especially how “feedback” plays an important part in the analysis of human behaviour. The existing recording techniques are summarized and their essentially “passive” nature emphasized. The use of external stimuli as a means of evoking waveforms of clinical importance, and the design of an electronic trigger circuit suitable for controlling these stimuli are considered. Keywords
