Abstract
SUMMARY: Cardiac decompensation as a presenting symptom in hypothyroidism has been described in a premature infant. The cardiac symptoms and abnormal electrocardiographic changes disappeared on thyroid therapy. The incidence and pathogenesis of the so‐called myxedematous heart has been reviewed.Keywords
