Abstract
Presentation of CaseA twenty-nine-year-old man entered the hospital because of pain in the chest.He had been well until two months previously, when he experienced sharp pain in the anterior portion of the chest, with radiation to the posterior cervical region; the pain was aggravated by deep inspiration, sudden movement of the neck and leaning forward. During the week before admission he was anorectic, with fever, chilliness and a nonproductive cough; antibiotic medication was without benefit. On the day before entry dyspnea developed.There was no history of arthralgia, night sweats, weight loss, exposure to communicable disease, rheumatic fever, . . .
