Abstract
Complexes containing the Rh24+ core are extensive- ly investigated both from the theoretical and practical points of view. Propertiesq+reac thyity and 5iectronic s tructure of complexes with Rh , Rh2 and Rh2 : (Rh2X (00CR)2(N-N)2)n and (Rh2(00CR)4) confirmed t he reasonable stability of CRh2(00CR)41 compounds. The effect of axial and equatorial Iigands on electronic structure of complexes a nd on stability of the Rh-Rh bond was investigated. Assignment of the p(Rh-Rh) stretching frequen- cy is discussed on the ground of the normal coordinate a naly- sis and potential energy distribution calculations. The redox reactions of complexes under study were e xamined. Their c ata- lytic properties in reduction r eactions of olefins and keto- nes were investigated. The mechanism of formation of cataly- tically active complexes is discussed. ?n=1,0,-1) are discussed. T2e calculationsKeywords
