Abstract
Phonocardlographlc proof of reversed splitting of the 2nd heart sound was obtained in 12 patients with ischemlc heart disease, none of whom had left bundle-branch block, systemic hypertension, or valvar heart disease. Of the 12 patients with reversed splitting of the 2nd heart sound, 7 had 3rd heart sounds. The reversed splitting of the 2nd heart sound, which may occur evanescently in patients with ischemic heart disease, was suggested as an indication of left ventricular dysfunction. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
