Abstract
To further deepen the understanding of growth and development of a fetal liver, we measured sizes of 108 fetal livers using ultrasound and compared them with levels of urinary estriol excretion and human placental lactogen in the sera of their mothers. The present data suggested that growth and development of a fetal liver correlated with the levels of these hormones. Measurements of the fetal liver sizes also possibly indicate the perinatal outcome. Keywords
