Abstract
This article reports the results of a 5-year follow-up study of training and certification of special education administrators. Responses to a postcard questionnaire were received from certification offices in the 50 states and Washington, DC. The data indicate that the greatest change since 1979 was in the number of state offices requiring special education coursework or demonstration of competency in special education as part of the general administration credential. Keywords
