Abstract
Recent studies indicate that T-cell regulation of IgE synthesis in atopic persons differs markedly from that in normal subjects. The allergic individual is deficient in suppressor T cells and at the same time has B lymphocytes capable of responding to helper T cells via both an MHC-restricted pathway and one that is not so restricted; nor does it require direct T-B contact. Keywords
