Abstract
To provide high-quality healthcare services to all age groups in the 1990s, I believe that specific tasks can be delegated to qualified, competent, unlicensed personnel. In reality, many environmental and family factors mentioned earlier in this paper cannot be changed. But, the role and responsibilities of qualified, unlicensed caregivers can be expanded, given that the professional registered nurse retains the accountability for delegated tasks. This change has the potential to contribute to the well-being of the patients and to improve the overall quality of in-home healthcare in the 1990s.Keywords
