A Psychiatric, Social and Psychological Study of Illegitimate Pregnancy in Girls under the Age of Sixteen Years

Abstract
This is a report of a study of pregnancy in 13 unmarried girls who were under the age of 16 years at the time of conception. It was not possible to characterize the group by describing them as a type of girl, and it is suggested that there may be a clustering into types of personalities, or determining factors, in the occurrence of illegitimate pregnancies. Five such clusterings are suggested and will be tested in further studies.
