Abstract
Magnetic heads made of a new ferrite material were developed. The ferrite material was a cubic Mn-Zn ferrite having a fibrous structure and a fiber axis. The heads had merits of magnetic heads made of a polycrystalline ferrite and those of a single crystal ferrite. Especially, resistance to material crumbling was improved by a factor of more than 10 and so was the lifetime of the heads. Among the heads, one with its track surface being //Keywords
