Abstract
The behavior of an air-fiber mixture is discussed. Measurements of the effective dielectric constant and power factor of yarns wound between cones have been made for a number of materials at various densities of packing, at frequencies between 50 c./sec. and 200 kc./sec., and at different moisture conditions. The results are discussed in their relation to the structure of the material, and are used to check the relation between electrical resistance and dielectric constant. Keywords
