Abstract
Dermatoglyphics of 19 girls and 15 boys with congenital virilizing adrenal hyperplasia (CVAH) were compared with the population controls. Only the female patients had significantly higher total digital ridge count, summed a-b ridge count, and more whorls among digital and hallucal patterns than the controls. Larger pattern size in girls with CVAH may be a result of increased growth from the third month of intrauterine life, since these infants also had significantly higher birth weight. Keywords
